Pony OC: Peach Barrel

Peach Barrel is an earth pony who works with her single father at the Ponyville general store. Her family is larger and sturdier than most ponies, and as such specializes in the moving and selling of goods. Peach fills the shelves and makes the jams and preserves, while her father, Cracker Barrel, runs the counter and handles the money. She is generally introverted, but in her spare time she reads the tabloids and pulp fiction magazines, especially the National Equiner. Sometimes her love of the fantastic and supernatural gets the best of her, and it's best not to let naive fillies hang around her too long. When a story especially grips her, she tends to run off and investigate. Ironically, most of these turn out to be true, and she becomes something of a Nancy Drew.
She soon learns that her cutie mark (a barrel filled with peaches) has a double meaning- representing Jim Hawkins' apple barrel, she has a knack, despite her size, for learning information while remaining unseen.

Other relatives:
Cousin Pickle Barrel, something of a goof, delivers the store's stock.
"Uncle" Apple Barrel, who claims to be an uncle in both her and Applejack's family, although how exactly remains to be seen.

So yeah, I'm a brony. It was inevitable, really. I was an eensy bit late to the party- I figured on watching it anyway, but it wasn't until the fandom got rolling that it got my attention.
Of course, it isn't really surprising considering I've been into cute stuff for years. I mean, I was and still am a fan of Hamtaro.

I didn't intend on making a pony OC, OCs aren't usually my thing, but I was fiddling with Seventh Sanctum's pony generator and got something interesting. I made some changes (her cutie mark was originally a comb) and managed to come up with a character that might carry at least one story.
