Dunno how many of you guys have seen our website, but we've been working on adding new content, and I just finished on the first major one- a gallery/portfolio showcasing some of our best stuff. It's got a few pieces that aren't on dA yet (but will be eventually), so check it out if you're so inclined.

I have to say, your website layout it both impressive...and really cool! I'm kind of surprised you didn't include your Ring-Tailed Roonga in your fantasy designs though - that's one of my favorites.
I've never heard of Coroflot before - is it a good site to use if you're looking to be recognized?

I wish you would answer me when I'm trying to share artwork with you. This is the fourth time I've tried to do it. You're not ignoring me, are you?

No, of course not! I always love the stuff you send me! I haven't got anything from you in over a week according to my inbox - the last message I had from you is when you told me you got the Jose and Panchito model sheets from Google.

Well, the comment I'm talking about is right here on this journal... Technically it's several weeks old.

My bad, I see what happened now. Ignore that last comment, will you? :ashamed:

It's okay. Just promise me that you'll check out the art I talk about, all right?

Yes, yes, of course! I really love your art, and you guys are some of the most awesome people to talk to. I'd hate for you to ever think I was ignoring you...I'm sorry, I know my internet friendship skills are severely lacking. And I know I've said this before, but I just always have so much going on in my life between work and college and family problems that my messages tend to pile up and get buried. Hopefully that'll end soon, as this is my last semester of college with full-time classes, so after that I should be able to have more leisure time and I'll actually be able to converse with you regularly again. :( Thanks for sticking with me even though I'm kind of a bad friend. It means a lot.

I don't think you're a bad friend at all. I was just kinda irritated, and you can understand why because some of the art is several years old, and I knew you'd like 'em, and it just seemed odd that I tried to bring them to your attention and it wasn't working...
So no need to feel so guilty- I just want to show you art that we're proud of.

Oh! Dude! I'm sorry! I was only checking my messages, not back on the journal itself. I, um, think you accidentally commented on your own comment there, and that's why I didn't get it...but I can understand your frustration, seeing as how I often don't get much time to check my messages, and they tend to pile up and get lost...

Thanks! I hadn't thought of adding that one...

I've been wondering... there's some stuff on the website that's also on dA that you don't seem to have seen yet. I'm sure you'd like 'em: there's some weasel fan characters, more characters from The Adventures of an Evil Minion, that "Pepperdoc Falls" thing with the otter... In fact, there's some things that've been up for years, and I've tried drawing your attention to them a couple times, but to no effect.

Coroflot is supposed to be good for that, yes. Nothing's happened to us so far, though.

Ah, yes, I did get to see them now! I really liked the Pepperdoc falls otter (I can't wait to read the story behind that, if there is one :)) but I have to say I liked the designs for Lester the possum best. I love everything about the art and character - the clean linework and shapes, the adorable facial expressions, the innocent country boy vibe he's got going on with the practical clothes and sweet face...he's darling! What are your plans for him? I also loved the mole people. I've always had a soft spot for moles, so it's kind of a given XD
Ok, so what is the deal with the hardcore animal rockband thing with Domino and Roadkill? Is that a new comic you're working on, or...?
Also, Typas. Please tell me he has some sort of schtick with poison barbs on his wrists, because that's pretty much the only thing needed to complete an evil platypus villain. Platypi are always awesome XP
Benny and Jokey are new, too, yeah? The designs on those two are particularly fantastic - really fluid and clean. Does Benny actually get superpowers or is that just for one sketch? 'cause that would be something really original and would probably be really popular in Canada
And you know I'm going to be making fanart of Brine (with your permission, of course), because he's KICKAWESOME and I'm really glad someone finally used that name for a sea otter. Though I have a hard time picturing one as a villain, since they're so sweet and playful. It'll be interesting to see how you guys pull it off!

Oh, I forgot- the roonga isn't technically our own design, since it's based off an ultra-obscure Looney Tunes character.

Since Pepperdoc Falls was done for a Dr. Pepper contest, I don't have any particular story in mind...

Lester's design is mainly for a Disney fan concept- a tribute to vintage Chuck E. Cheese and Showbiz Pizza Theater, which could be visited in our dream Disney park. The basic idea was to conceive of him as a legitimate character, instead of something cheap and cheesy like in A Goofy Movie. He's actually the same Lester from A Goofy Movie- he's just been imagined as a real character.

I should make it clear that Domino isn't a member of Roadkill and the Vicious Vermin- in fact, he's more of a rival. Roadkill, Chet, and Nick are grounded in rock 'n' roll, blues and pop styles from roughly 1950-1963, while Domino plays experimental jazz based on cool jazz and bebop.
Anywho, I suppose you've forgotten that Domino is supposed to be the main character of the comic book series I'm developing, Ink Incarnate. About half of the characters in the "Original characters" folder are in it, too. The idea actually dates back to '08-'09.

Benny and Jokey are part of it too, and are also several years old. They're supposed to be the big stars of a fictional animation studio in the '40s and '50s. As for Benny becoming super, it's meant as a parody of all those early funny animal superheroes, who always seem to be "atomic". We're not actually sure how often he would have those powers...

I love that idea for Typas. We're definitely going to give him poison barbs!

Brine's essentially your basic pirate type, so just imagine him growling and going around helping his captain plunder. And of course you can draw him!

So did you see the the weasel fan characters? How about Hrothgar and Meleva, Randy's parents? Or other Evil Minion characters?
